Hello Shopping Bunny

In this time, everybody is looking to save money, be it on necessities or one-off purchases. Luckily, a lot of apps, websites and groups have the same mindset!

Everybody loves a freebie. If you are on O2, you can get freebies from time to time using Priority as well as food and shopping offers and discounted gig tickets. If you aren't on O2, you can still take advantage of Priority offers.

Simply get a free O2 sim (you can apply on the O2 website or go to your local shop). Take the O2 sim and put it in your unlocked handset. Connect your phone to wi-fi and download the O2 Priority app. To activate it, the app will send a message to your O2 number containing a code. Enter the code in, and you are ready to use the app. Remove the O2 sim and put your original one back in. You should still be able to access the app and use the offers!

Past freebies from Priority include:

  • Box of charity Christmas Cards from WHSmith worth £6.99
  • Bag of Chocolate Coins from WHSmith worth 99p
  • Free coffee from Cafe Nero
  • Bottle Green drink from WHSmith
  • De-icer from Halfords
  • Free Star Wars phone case
  • Free £5 gift card to use at selected stores such as Virgin Trains, Tesco Direct, Amazon, iTunes

Similarly, if you are on Three, you can use the Wuntu app. In my opinions, the offers aren't as varied, with the majority of it being discounts on online stores. However, they do offer things like free pizza from Dominoes, free coffee from Costa and free hot chocolate from Hotel Chocolat cafes, so it is worth downloading!

10 Ways To Save Money

This year, I am trying to be more careful with my outgoings. Compared to when I first started working to now, I am trying to be more wise when it comes to deciding what and when to spend money. 1. It becomes all too easy when you get paid to spend it so easily. One thing I have started to do is make a wish list of the things that I am interested in buying. I will leave an item on the list (unless I really need it) for a few months. If I still decide I am still interested in it, I will leave it on the list and make plans to buy it. If I have decided I don't really want it in the end, I will delete it off my list. Taking the time to ponder over whether you actually want or need something will help you spend money on worthwhile purchases. 2. I also find making a budget to be useful in planning how you spend your money. Whilst point 1 relates to disposable spending, your budget should include costs for things like travel, social events, education, health expenses, bills, etc. This ...
